Manually convert single instance database to RAC

Hi,

I have a 11.2.0.3 RAC cluster with a production database and I'd like to add to the cluster a second database, which is in single instance mode in a different server.

I've read the document, "How to Convert 10g Single-Instance database to 10g RAC using Manual Conversion procedure (Doc ID 747457.1)" and I'd like to know if it can be applied to 11gr2.
