Integrate Document Scanner in OAF page

Dear Experts,

We have a requirement to automate the initiation of a third party scanning device from OAF page ( probably on button click in standard attachment region) and attach the scanned document into FND Lobs. Please share the possibilities of achieving it in EBS applications.
