AR Accounting Rules Issue

Hi, We have a customer requirement where they want to have revenue recognition schedules for 3-4 years but they will have only GL accounting periods created for only 1 future year. Due to this Manual AR invoices and Imported AR invoices are resulting in errors as the future periods for 3-4 years are not yet defined in GL.  Any solution with in AR setup framework would be highly appreciated. Thanks/Prasant
