OEL 6.6 write I/O hangs

Hello all,

Recently we experienced a problem with Oracle Linux Server 6.6 (3.8.13-26.2.1.el) running in VMware ESXI 5.1. It serves one instance of Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 (OLTP DB). The first attention on the issue with disk writes came from Oracle DB, which was stucked and could not complete a checkpoint. The manual checkpoint command by DBA also hanged, so the instance was stopped with "SHUTDOWN ABORT" and then restarted. After about 30-40 minutes the same day, the issue had repeated. Then either DB or Linux OS were restarted. But the issue had repeated later again. Next reboot was performed. The DB alert.log
