DB migration

Hi All,


Greetings.


We have 5 oracle database 11.2.0.3 version with oracle ERP 11i of DB size 600gb running in one of our server with redhat linux 4 version.

We are doing a tech refresh of servers where we are migrating this 5 databases to new Virtual machines.

1. Plan is create new server with same as is mount point with OS version redhat linx 5.10

2. Since we have 12 hour outage window we are going to use rsync for application files and copying to new server like

a. A week before the actual outage we will start full copy of application files.

b. Every day after that we will use rysnc to do incremental copy.
