java.lang.NullPointerException ADF_FACES-60097 Error Occurs While Navigating the Wizard

We are getting the following error in MFP Location Planning Role, while trying to create a workbook through standard wizard selection process

java.lang.NullPointerException

ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #1

This error does not appear when I build the domain instead of patching it. Building the domain removes all measure data while patching keeps the existing data and applies the latest configuration updates. How we can resolve this issue even when patching the domain. We cannot re-load entire historical data along with plans in the production environment.
