Acquisition Costs Workaround Without LCM

Hi -

I now know that From 12.1.2 the acquisition costs wont work as the old way and using LCM is a must .

As we are not planning to use LCM for now [New licenses , managerial approvals , ...], we are trying to figure out any possible workarounds ..

Now we are trying to write sql script to grip the expenses data from payable invoices and use the package GMF_ACTUAL_COST_ADJUSTMENT_PUB to update the item cost .

What do you think about that .. what problems could be in this workaround ?
