What would be the Tax Model for Upgraded version(11i to R12) and fresh R12 version ? And is it possible to have group tax model in fresh R12.1.3 version?

How to find the EBTax Mechanism is upgraded model or Fresh model, if we have different mechanism for both(Upgrade & Fresh)  in R12.1.3.
