Limiting Meter Reading Value Entry

Is it possible to limit the value of an EAM meter reading in any particular day? For example we have equipment with that runs up to 24 hours a day and we have an hourly meter associated to them. We'd like to have a restriction that allows a maximum of 24 hrs hours per day to be entered taking into account when the last reading was entered e.g. if it was 24 hours ago then the max would be 24, if it was 48 hours ago then the max would be 48 etc.

 

The reason we'd like this is because we occasionaly get errors made when entering the readings.
