OTL: Worktype and Location field on Workbased timecard for Contingent worker?

Worktype and location field are stored in the PA_Expenditure_items_all table in Projects? Oracle has a standard workbased layout integrated with payroll module. we are able to enter worktype and location for employee. we customized the project and purchasing layout to include this fields. However the standard oracle validates and say the fields can be entered for Employees? How do we cater this fields for contingent worker?
