Multi tier upgrade process
Hi there,
We are currently upgrading our instance from the latest 12.2.4 version.
Here the architecture architecture
Server #1 : Linux 6.6 RHEL - Oracle Database 11.2.0.4 freshly upgraded from 11.2.0.2
Server #2 : Linux 5.8 RHEL - E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 (source)
Server #3 : Linux 6.6 RHEL - (target) [Here will go the 12.2.0/12.2.4 install]
So basically my question is about the very general upgrade process on a multi tier (I mean app and db on different servers)
Here our upgrade steps
DB 11.2.0.2 => 11.2.0.4 [DONE]
APP 11.5.10.2 => 12.2.0
APP 12.2.0 => 12.2.4
DB 11.2.0.4 => 12.1.0.1
I'm a bit lost in the different documentations talking about that.
- What are the general step on each server ?
- Do I have to install any app part on the db server (techstack or whatever) ?
