UNABLE TO PERFORM SUBINVENTORY TRANSFER WHILE RESERVATIONS EXIST

There is an existing enhancement request for above functionality.  Here are some of the comments:      

It is a significant operational restriction to fail to move reservations

with inventory transfers. Stock is locked-down when reserved and the

workaround (unreserve,transfer and re-reserve) leaves potential for

inventory to be reserved to the wrong demand.

Sales orders get created by Order Import process with detailed reservations

including serial numbers. Later, and before the pick release process,

Sub inventory transfer transactions are performed to move the material to a

new location(another warehouse )from where it can be picked and shipped.

Customer is WMS enabled. Currently system allows items having only LPN
