company fiscal year date pattern change.

Could you plesae let me know the impact of this and step by step procedure on how to do in JDE world system .

At present we are in 4 th period (Jan- Dec) FY15  .  Is it ok if we can merge to non-calender year(oct -sep) now...How can I achieve this?...I need to chagne the existing one to oct-sep (FY14) ..

Also we have FA module too..
