Forecast data in the ASCP staging tables

I am hoping to build a custom solution for importing forecast data into ASCP.  Our Sales department enters sales orders with a line type "Forecast", which of course doesn't make it a forecast in ASCP's view.  Since they are determined to maintain their ancient traditions, the planning department cannot distinguish forecast demand from firm demand at lower levels in the BOM.

I ran a test with a small amount of success, but didn't get where I need to go.  Ultimately, I need to be able to include or exclude the forecast by configuring the plan options, just as we normally would.
