Batch Integrity R007021 changing batch header status from Posted to Approved

What would cause R007021 to change the batch header status on >40,000 batches from Posted to Approved?  All of the detail is posted.  R007021 runs nightly on the scheduler and this phenomenon has occurred several times in the last few months.
