Client just went live with Oracle ERP solution. Machine model (CTO) and serial number were loaded in Oracle Installed base.   Many machines were returned during cut over time and need to be removed from CSI tables as the serial numbers are to be used with different configurations of same machine model.

What happens is returned machine model serial numbers go to contract manufacturer. The CMO disassembles the unit and uses the same serial number with a future configuration of same machine model.   These identified records need to be deleted or updated(with something like '-NA'') from all base tables CSI and MTL_Serial table. If delete is not allowed, they need to be updated so the uniqueness of same serial number is not violated with new configured item.
