Alerts - Approval Method Automatic

Hi,

We have forecast_approval alerts registered in our domain and are using appcust for alert calculations. What I have noticed is, even if forecast approval method (or override) is set to 'Automatic', the alert calculations are still performed and alerts are triggered.

Doesn't RDF validate internally using forecast_approval alert category and stop alerts from getting triggered when approval method or approval method override is set to 'Automatic' or Manual? Or do we need to write rules to calculate alerts based on approval method settings?
