Is there a way of disabling the 'Approve' link in a workflow email notification other than SEND_ACCE

We have an ongoing issue with purchase requisition workflow (SR 3-7927254501) where the PO create workflow fails to start when purchase requisitions are approved using the 'Approve' link in a workflow email notification sent to the approver. PO are created successfully when requisitions are approved through the application. While Oracle investigate a solution we would like a work around that forces the approver to log in to Approve the requisition. I know that setting SEND_ACCESS_KEY=N (Doc ID 820444.1) will achieve this but I believe this would be a change that affects all workflow when we only have a problem with the purchase requisition approval process. Please can anyone advise on another way to do this?
