Planner information to be populated in Purchase Order

Client has a requirement to have Planner information available in Purchase Order. I think Requestor could be the field suitable for that.

Here PO's are created without requisition and its loaded from third party through interface. Is it possible to populate Planner from Item to Requestor field in PO. If yes please provide details on how.
