When an employee is promoted or transferred, they lose any beneficiary designation that is in Oracle

When an employee is promoted or transferred, they lose any beneficiary designation that is in Oracle.  This is because their employer life insurance changed, and the beneficiary from the previous plan is dropped.  Does anyone have a suggested solution for this?  It is very concerning that the beneficiary information is dropped because the amount of insurance changes.
