Data Selection Lock

Hi all

This is more of a general question than Manufacturing specific but I am getting different answers from different places...

I had an issue a few weeks back where a user mistakenly removed data selection which limited the specific application/program they were running to WO's with a specific status.  Thus when they executed the application/program, instead of updating a handful of WO's it updated all WO's for the company/branch/plant that they had access to, close to 13,000!  I am investigating whether we can place a lock on pre-loaded data selection such that a user cannot change it but is still able to change and/or add other data selection...
