Modifying Basic Asset

Hi,

I have created a basic asset and I have 2 questions on the same:

1) In the doc http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29634/data_overview.htm#WBCSD1376, to enter the new category for the basic asset:

    

               a) Do I just need to insert a record in the 'category' table? or is there any interface throuch which I can do it

               b) Later can I fix the category type in the start menu creation .. like providing the default value

2) Once basic asset is created, I like to modify the description of one col/attribute of the basic asset. Do I have to delete and recreate the basic asset again just to modify the description??? or is there any other process I can follow???
