Patching Oracle Database & Client

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry I'm not that familiar with Database Patching. I have just downloaded and applied PSU 11.2.0.3.14 i.e."p20299017_112030_Linux-x86-64.zip" and OPatch - "p6880880_112000_Linux-x86-64.zip" on 2 Database Servers running 11.2.0.3.0.

Now my question is: Is it compulsory to also patch Oracle Client on our Application Servers after patching our databases.

NB: These databases have never been patched before and there's a requirement from my Manager to start applying Patches whenever they' re released.

Thanks in advance for your advises.
