Installing Oracle 11.1.0.7 on ODA X5-2

We have a customer requirement to install Oracle 11.1.0.7 on an ODA X5-2. I know that the ODA only supports 11.2+ thru oakcli installs. One reason this is a requirement is that Active Data Guard will be used to push the source db to the ODA. As far as I know the RDMS's should be the same when using Physical standby.

However could we create virtual disks to store the RDBMS binaries and data base files? Use 11.1 software and install?

Other option would be to virtualize the ODA and create a VM for the database, but then the performance may not be good since it is not ODA_BASE.

Howdy, Stranger!
