pmodel.js erroring causing the product configurator issues?

Hi All,

We have upgraded to 8.1.1.14 PatchSet 3 and have enabled Open UI and ecommunications application. On click of customize button on the product catalog view the user is navigated to Complex Product Runtime Instance view. We see that the puicfgui.js and puicfgclient.js is loading successfully with any issues in the developer tools console. However we are seeing an issue with pmodel.js erroring out at line 40. The error is "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read the property 'GetControls' of undefined".

Little surprised that the vanilla pmodel.js file is throwing up this issue and suspecting this may be causing the product configurator not to render correctly. Any pointers here is highly appreciated. Please find the screen shot of the issue below
