API to Create journal Entries

Hi All,

My requirement is to create journal entries in General Ledger with source defined as Accrual(custom defined) with reversal period set in the next period. I have checked on inserting into GL_interface and calling Journal import program but this table doesn't have option to capture the line description and also I cannot set reversal date here.

Can any one help me with this approach of creating journal entry with reversal date populated in General Ledger and also the predefined workflow for Journal should be triggered. I am looking to do using PL/SQL script.
