How Does the Depreciation Projection Report Work?

I have been tasked with pulling the data that is shown on the report from the database into a csv file, however i am reviewing the report and i am realizing it does some checks for a synonym of the table first and then uses the table or the table with the request id.  It also drops the table in the after report trigger.  So i have created a query similar to what is being used in the report however it is pulling way too much data due to different request ids for the same period.  Is it possible to
