index_category=small vs large in XDF execution

Hi

During our 12.2 upgrade driver run,I am seeing xdf execution file being builtwith indexcategory=small though the table is very big and parallelism is not being used to create the indexes.

I could see some other xdf were run with index_category=large where parallelism is being used .

I do not see this being set from the driver file.

How would this be derived during patch execution?
