RDBPROD: rdb extension for sql developer 4?

I'm new to RDB and was thrilled to learn there is such a thing as an RDB extension for SQL Developer. I'm using 4.0.3. I tried installing the extension but when I saw the instructions were from 2010 and SQL Developer 2, I wasn't hopeful. Sure enough, the installation completes but no new tab. I have since found this site:

http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/extensions-083825.html

that says extensions written for versions prior to 4.0 won't work. There was a workaround for getting the RDB extension to work with version 3..

Howdy, Stranger!
