Server Timezone setting

Our database time zone is set to Pacific Time but our Server Timezone profile option has been set to Mountain Time for at least 10 years. Up until now we have not had any issues with this setting, and I'm really not sure why we have had it set this way historically.

But we just discovered that Customer Support Specialist times are not adjusted correctly with these settings in place.

The issue found was that the HTML SR page takes the user preference time zone and then adjusts the displayed times relative to the value in the Server Timezone (Mountain Time). So even though the values are displayed in Pacific Time, the system thinks they are being displayed in Mountain Time. A user who has their preferences set to Central time would see Pacific Time + 1:00 (the difference between Mountain and Central) rather than Pacific Time + 2:00 (the difference between Pacific and Central).

Howdy, Stranger!
