What is the parameter REPORTS_DISABLE_CLIPBOARD=YES used for?

We are having this error: Reports Error X Error of failed request: BadWindow when our system is under heavy CPU load.

Our system is AIX 6.1.  In MOS note: 437878.1 it says that you can install patch 14353879 to solve this issue on AIX. You need to apply a Template fix 14381165 to enable this fix. The template fix is to add REPORTS_DISABLE_CLIPBOARD=YES in the appsrwrun.sh file. Does anyone know what this parameter  (REPORTS_DISABLE_CLIPBOARD=YES) do? We cannot find any hits on MOS or Communities for this.
