Apply PSU patch

I am runing ODA database version 11.2.0.3.13 and grid 11.2.0.4.2.

I would like to apply the latest PSU patch to my database. I found that the latest PSU patch (11.2.0.3.14) is available in patch 12.1.2.3.0.

Since I am new on ODA World, I just want to confirm that the following command will apply the PSU patch to my current database. 

oakcli update -patch 12.1.2.3.0 --database (as root)


For non-ODA environments I usually create backups of OH and inventory (as good practice) before applying patches. I believe this is the same for ODA.
