Consolidation Process for Single SOB entities

Dear All,

My company is running business on single Primary SOB (local currency SOB). We don't have RSOB books for any entity. Now, we are planning to start use Consolidation for high level management reporting Purpose. Need your expertise inputs to setup the consolidation book and map the single SOB to consolidation book.

1. What is the mandatory requirement of Consolidation? Is RSOB Book required? or we can map our single SOB to Consolidation?

2.  If we go with single PSOB mapping, please let me know the process of mapping and pros and cons of using single PSOB.
