is it possible to restrict Reference number genration when we run bol/Packing List

Hi Team,

We are adding Manual reference numbers to Shipment so we dont want system generate reference when i run Packing lIst/BOL.Is it possible to restrict that because it is overriding reference number field which is creating confustion.

I have not added any external Business function to carrier/P49190 still the reference number is generating which is same as Packing list number coming by Document next numbers.

Please suggest , its very urgent .
