DWH Schema in OLTP database (Production)

Hello Everyone,

     My current environment has a DWH schema in our production database. How do i present a case to my IT manager about moving the schema to an OLAP database without starting a war with the developers. I know the argument is as simple as DWH is Data Warehouse and Data warehouse should be in noarchivelog mode and on OLAP database but i need more facts. Thanks in advance!!!
