E810 to E91 Data Upgrade Only

Hello,

As i am new to this community, please forgive my poor english and my mistakes.

I am doing an Upgrade from E8.10 to E9.1 but as different sets of machines.

System : IBM Iseries ---> IBM Power8

Versions : E8.10 Tools SP23 ---> E9.1 Tools 9.1.5.2

I have already installed fully the E9.1 Servers (Deployment, Enterprise, Web) and did full packages for all environments.

Now i would like to upgrade only the DATA / CTL from E8.10 (PROD) to E9.1 (PY), without the Objects.

I have read from many discussions that i have to begin with a PS910 Upgrade, before doing a PY910 Upgrade. Is that Mandatory ?
