Unable to add new node

edited Jun 16, 2015 1:57PM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 9 commentsAnswered

We have a 2 node RAC, 1 of the nodes is corrupted because we're not able to start the nodes up at all.

We remove the binary in Node 2 (corrupted nodes) using deinstall tool.

However when I wanted to add the node back using addnode.sh I'm getting the below error.

[INS-43042] The cluster nodes [node2] specified for addnode is already part of a cluster.

When I run olsnodes in Node 1, I'm able to see node 2 there also.

When I want to run crsctl remove node -n node 2 from node 1 I hit another error below

CRS-4662: Error while trying to delete node node2.

Howdy, Stranger!
