recommended db_securefile setting when creating a new database

What is the recommended db_securefile setting when creating a new database? I was thinking about setting it to ALWAYS so that SECUREFILE LOBs are created by default. However, I don't know if there are any documented issues with the catalog tables. Since SECUREFILE LOBs require ASSM tablespaces, the catalog tables should not be affected.  The RDBMS installation version is 11.2.0.4.
