Auto release planned orders for VMI parts

Hello ,

Is it a normal or standard behavior for the ASCP planning to not to release planned order for VMI parts (i.e. VMI flag is checked) when the Auto release planned order program runs after the ASCP plan?

The parts are set up correctly and in the organization items MRP/MPS tabs, the release time fence has been set up as 'user defined' which is 7 days. Still when a planned order created with suggested start date as 27-May-15 and plan run date is '24-May-15', the auto release program did not release the planned order.
