The ASR Manager on a Raspberry Pi Experiment
The Raspberry Pi is a low-cost, tiny computer that runs Linux.
Can it run the ASR Manager? Let's give it a try...
The ASR Manager User's Guide says:
ASR Manager is supported on the following versions of Linux:
- Oracle Linux 5.3 or later.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 or later.
The Linux ASR Manager package is an rpm, which requires a RedHat Linux distro to install.
Pidora is a RedHat-based distro available for the Raspberry Pi.
Maybe Raspberry Pi + Pidora + Oracle JDK for ARM could work?
Please note: The Raspberry Pi and Pidora are not supported platforms for the ASR Manager. Oracle's ASR engineering team does not test with these platforms.
