Is is possible to have separate 11gR2 on Exadata with 12c Grid Home

Dear All,

In the course of upgrade from 11g RAC database (from Linux 11g Exadata) To a newly procured 12c Exadata Linux machine.

We are planning create a 11gR2 rdbms home path temporarily in order to restore the source 11g RMAN backup. And perform the upgrde

Is it possible to keep a 11g RDBMS home path in a 12c Exadata machine?
