IP 2015 upgrade

Hi,

One of our client is looking for upgrade to IP 2015.,  Their Current Oracle DB OS version is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.9 (Tikanga).,and DB version is 11.2.0.3.0.

As per the certification matrix,  OS supported on Linux are -- 3 Versions(SLES 11,Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6,Oracle Linux 6) and DB supported version are Releases(12.1.0.2.0,12.1.0.1.0,11.2.0.4.0,11.2.0.3.0,11.2.0.2.0,11.2.0.1.0).

While the DB version (11.2.0.3.0) supported, I'm not sure if we need to upgrade OS version of the DB to  RHEL 6.....   In this case do we need to upgrade the OS version of DB to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6?

Please confirm.
