Purchasing Not Seeing Items in New Item Master

I am in the process of re-implementing inventory and I created a new item master (the old item master has lots of issues) and attached it to a new inventory organization. I want to test the new inventory items in Purchasing, but I cannot pull up the items in the requisition form. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing my issue?
