Oracle VM Server Linux network bonding issues

On ORACLE SERVER X5-2 we have the following configuration:

VM Server  version 3.3.1-1065

VM Manager version Version: 3.3.1.1065 Build: 20140619_1065. (kernel 3.8.13-44.1.1.el6uek.x86_64)

Two Ethernet ports are connected to two different Avaya 86xx switches. Network interfaces representing these ports are bonded together and connected to Oracle VM virtual network that has the following roles assigned: Server Management and Virtual Machine.

According to this manual from Oracle there are three types of network bonding supported by Oracle VM: Active Backup (mode 1), Dynamic Link Aggregation (mode 4), Adaptive Load Balancing (mode 6).

Since the network interfaces are connected to two switches, mode 4 is not an option, so we decided to use mode 6.

Howdy, Stranger!
