Absence Management - how to show a balance that is provided to every employee upon their start date
In order to meet the State of California laws, we need to display a SICK balance for each employee. Our requirements are as follows:
- Provide all California employees with 24 hours SICK time on the day they start employment
- Reset the balance to 24 hours on January 1st of each year
- Decrease the 24 hours based on absence entries made in self-service
- Display the running balance on the entitlement page in self-service in real time
We are not currently utilizing Oracle payroll and we do not want to "accrue" time based on payroll processes.We simply want to give everyone a balance, deduct hours as taken, and display the balance when accessed.
