========================================

UPDATED 10/16/2015

  • ODA X5-2 is now shipping with 8TB sized disks!
  • 12.1.2.4 includes a fix for Known ASM ALERT for disks 2T and higher
  • 11.2.0.3.15 is NOW SUPPORTED on ODA with 12.1.2.4

========================================

The X5-2 uses sixteen 4 TB SAS2 HDDs as the main storage

Due to ASM limitations you cannot use the full 4 TB sized disks for ASM directly.
X5-2 ODA exclusively uses ACFS which sits on top of ASM

Important pointACFS on ODA is currently supported on 11.2.0.4 and higher.

This means that unlike ODA HW platforms X4-2, X3-2 and V1 where

you could create any previously available RDBMS version
