How to supress an approver from the approver list

Hi,

My approval rule is as follows -


Employee(Submits) -> Supervisor -> Supervisor's Supervisor -> Head of Department -> SMT -> HR Manager -> CEO


I have a requirement that if the SMT and CEO are the same person then approval should not go to SMT and skip that level. This is to make sure that CEO is the last person approving the transaction.

I know I can supress the approvers such that approval goes to the person only the first time and the rest of the approval levels with the same approver is supressed. But here my requirement is that CEO should be the last person to approve and CEO should not approve as SMT but as CEO at the end of the transaction.
