Query on Costed BOM Inquiry

Hi

I have few questions related to costed BOM inquiry application (P30206) in E9.0. 

1. Whenever I inquire for parent BOM, P30206 defaults simulated cost view. It seems like this default view is driven thru program code . Is there way to default frozen cost view instead of simulated cost view in P30206.

2. When I am finding the costed BOM for the parent BOM, system defaults parent item also in screen along with components in P30206. The cost (from F30026) of components & parent item are displayed under "Purchase column". I dont know the reason why P30206 displays parent item when we inquire for costed BOM . Is it any business reason behind this ?
