Workspace Manager OPEN_CURSOR best practices

Hi,

does anyone have best practices around open_cursor settings in Oracle 11gR2 databases (and above) when using Oracle's Workspace Manager?

We have open_cursors set to 2000 in our RAC and we still get ORA-01000 alerts. It's a per session parameter so I consider this to be set to a very high value.

Any help / advice from Oracle WM developers would be appreciated.
