Replace ASM disk in a DiskGroup that is mounted as an ACFS
Is there a documented process for migrating an ASM diskgroup that is mounted as ACFS to new storage? Would the regular ASM disk replacement process works (introduce new disk to the disk group and perform an alter diskgroup add disk rebalance, and alter diskgroup drop disk rebalance)?
Let me clarify my question:
On a Solaris RAC that hosts our OEM we have created four ASM disk groups with external redundancy. Three disk groups are for database files and one contains an ACFS that contains OMS and the OEM binaries.
We are in the process of migrating all disks to faster storage. The process we followed in the past for migrating ASM disks was to introduce new disks to the disk group and then let it it rebalance and then drop the old disk and another rebalance will move all contents to new storage.
